KC Car Show 2011: Really?

No a single flying ffing car. Very disappointing. But if there had been one it would not have been surprising, as we've been wanting and expecting those for the past 20 years. But what did blow my ffing mind was the fact that KIA and Hyundai had probably the best cars on show.

Stuart and I might be a bit of the old car snob, but we were both very impressed with the Koreans. The new Optima looked better than anything on the Toyota or Honda stand. In fact, the Accord sedan looked like a great big turd, albeit all shined up for the occasion.

Here's the best of the show:
Scooby looked the dog's bollox...would love to see mica blue and gold
Fiat 500 making an early appearance in the US
Like the Subaru motor above...ah, actually no
Citroen DS3 Racing....nope Chevy look-a-like
This was one of the best looking cars at the show
Hope to God they make it
What you say about my mama's fat ass?

Can you believe a Kia was a head turner?

Polish Me Knob - Tim and I give the M3 some TLC

I wanted our friend Tim, who has his own Car Detailing Business, to give the M3 some serious TLC at the end of the summer (2010) when I was thinking about selling it. We got her looking like new, then I pulled my listings as I couldn't part with her.

All the same, I think this Spring the M3 will have to go. Something a little more practical is in order. Even if she goes, we'll always have Paris, well Kansas City anyway, the Paris of the Prairies!

Alfa-Romeo Gone Wild

If there was the equivalent of a "Girls Gone Wild" for Alfa-Romeo cars then this might just be it. It was a gathering of local cars last summer in KC down at the old Vox Theatre on South West BLVD.

My English friend Stuart helped put the show together and had his Spider in the show. It rained and some of the cars weren't able to show, but the ones that did were beautiful.

I'd forgotten about these pictures and just found them this week. So go ahead, enjoy some good old fashioned Car Porn.
